Raul Castro's illegitimacy. Part Nine.

Were Fidel and Raul intellectual authors, and primarily responsible for the incursion in drug trafficking of the Cuban officcers convicted in 1989? With the creation of the MC Department in 1986, under the leadership of Jose Abrantes, Minister of Interior, and directed by Colonel Tony de la Guardia, in order to alleviate the weakening of the Soviet help, which had been neutralizing the US economic embargo prevailing and imperceptible since 1962, adopted in response to the reckless illegal nationalization of US companies in Cuba, the legal basis for the Cuban government Official Smuggling were created, which culminated in Drug trafficking and the final Purging in "Ochoa's case". The MC Department was a Castros' bold and irresponsible Initiative, which, since its beginning, mainly specialized in Illicit Activities; such as smuggling cigarettes, cigars and lobsters into the USA; clothing and appliances into Africa; artwork and antiques into Spain; and even resell diamonds and ivory brought from Africa, in Latin America and elsewhere. The lack of transparency, the disorder and improvisation characterized its operation and accounting, which was very beneficial for both Fidel and Raul Castro. But when the suspicions of the US Government in relation to the links of the head of the Cuban regime with the Colombian drug cartel, gained strength, Fidel had no choice but to sacrifice his closest collaborators in the smuggling business, and so procure his innocence and his brother's, in the matter.
