This is Obama's request on December 17th: "we are calling on Cuba to unleash the potential of 11 million cubans by ending unnecessarily restrictions on the political, social, and economic decisions... The United States believes that no Cubans really should face harassment or arrest or beatings merely mainly because they are exercising a universal right to have their voices heard..." Castro has made his first move on December 30th, pursuing and arresting a group of free speech activists in Havana. Now it's Obama' s turn to move. The question still remains: Do the Castros deserve to have full diplomatic relations with the United States?
